Current Seasonal Forces and Patterns
Last month, our senses were stimulated by the lush, earthy delights of Taurus and what was built was mighty substanial-- even worth replicating-- perhaps with a few changes.
Now, as the Sun makes its final climb to its’ Summer Solstice peak, the fixed hold of Taurus is broken by the expanding Mobius pattern of mutability-- strongly carried in two directions by the Gemini Twins. These stirring forces are enhanced by the twirling winds, generated in the last days of Spring.
Miraculously, the plants of Earth use these seasonal winds to scatter their various seedling devices-- to insure their future duplication and revision. Us humans (with our learned mental perceptions) make our creative changes by analyzing and dissecting the input of our senses-- from the two sides of our bicameral minds! With each sensual interpretation, we make more comparisons-- and this allows us to comprehend and create more complex arrangements. Appropriately, most Geminis have a gift for dealing with these complicated thoughts-- and this is a good time for the rest of us to hone our mental skills.
Have a Conversation with a Gemini Friend
With the invention of language, humanity has found symbols and sounds to interpret these complexities. That is why we “think with words”. If words are not your strong suit, seek the assistance of a Gemini friend. They’ll quickly analyze any question that you ask, examine any relative material and outline the options and choices. In the process, they may also find ways to help you improve your communication with others.
This barrage of chatter may be unsettling to some (notably by the less-wordy Taurus friends we relished last month). However, for most of us, any interaction with an enlightened Gemini will likely help us clarify the inspired ideas that circle inside our heads.
Gemini Personalities and Celebrities
These mercuric qualities can be seen in the expressions of these four Gemini celebrities. Their personalities are slightly altered by the other components in their charts.
The electric qualities of Mercury (Gemini’s ruling planet) are readily seen in the personality of Dana Carvey. His Mercury ruled Virgo Ascendant makes the mercuric hand gestures all the more apparent-- as his fingers point and count. As we have seen in his Church Lady character, this rising sign also adds a touch of criticalness to his personae.
“Hey, do you wanna talk”? With her forceful Aries Ascendant and her expansive Sagittarius Moon, Joan Rivers will do most of the talking. With her humorous play with words, you shouldn’t mind.
In the nature of Michael J. Fox, the airy forces are notably stilled by his fixed Aquarius Ascendant and Taurus Moon. The Moon makes him emotionally stable and grounded. The Ascendant allows the light of his Sun to focus on unorthodox and futuristic ideas. It also adds a strong sense of optimism to his personality.
With Annette Bening, the energies of Mercury seem to flow at a more gentle, less divisive pace. This can be attributed to her airy Libra Moon. She strikes us as the most charming and cheery individual in this group. With no birth time, her Ascendant is unknown.
All four celebrities display the skewed brows, eyes, nose and chin, as well as the rectangular cheekbone and jaw structure that sets the two cheeks perpendicular to the face. Also, note how the features in the face seem to be duplicated. The folds above the eyes suggest two eyelids-- which may account for Gemini’s habit of “double blinking”. Also, the molding in the cheeks give hints of a double jaw and the bulges above and below the mouth suggest two lips instead of one.
The Continuing Process and Other Current Cycles
All of us must learn to control the thoughts in our heads and give them direction, purpose and emotional meaning. This sense of control will become stronger next month, when the Sun moves into the cardinal water sign of Cancer.
The dissecting nature of Gemini is countered by Sagittarius, the sign on the other side of the Zodiac wheel. There, the scope is expanded, as the fractured pieces are integrated into greater and larger wholes.
On the 17th of June, Mercury will move into Cancer, in exact harmonious trine to Neptune, the planet that rules Pisces and the oceans of our dreams. On this day, your mind may suddenly become less rattled and more "divinely connected". By the 19th, Mercury will be opposing Pluto. In this short period, some magical secrets could be revealed.
Mercury moves quickly, so use your Gemini lessons well, and learn to adapt to the constant changes that we all face everyday.
