Current Seasonal Forces and Patterns
When the Sun enters Virgo, the days are shorter and the nights are cooler, as the Earth is stirred by Gaia’s mutable forces-- to prepare the planet for another seasonal change!
Our Leo friends have had their moment on stage, presenting their grandiose creative intents. Now, these lions need to gather their followers together-- to build their “visions” into something real! None will be of more service than those who have strong Virgo components in their charts.
Create a more perfect solution with your Virgo friends
When you pick a Virgo friend to assist in any project, you must realize that these mercuric souls closely identify with Mother Nature’s orderly process of creation, that in the turning of the seasons, creates the fruit filled gardens on this Earth. Likewise, Virgos believe that “what they do” must follow a similar orderly process, serve a purpose and actually perfect “whatever exists”. In addition, they seem to know that any physical creation comes from the work of its contributors-- and it will be the skills and knowledge of these workers that will bring future harvests.
The winged messenger Mercury rules Virgo, along with the sign of Gemini. Notably, the Twins always seem to be darting off in two directions-- chasing an expansive diversity of data! In contrast, our passively polarized Virgo friends are diligently trying to figure out how to reduce the clutter. First, they’ll determine what parts are valuable and sort the many pieces into usable piles. Then, with acute perfection, they’ll miraculously assemble the substances into new improved “physical wholes”. Virgo’s gift for recognizing this more perfect “physical wholeness” is the mental construct that we all can use-- to keep ourselves whole and healthy!
Virgo Personalities and Celebrities
All of the celebrities here have Earth Moons. Therefore, their projective and reactive natures are similar. However, with different Ascendants, we see different personas and different structural appearances.
The ladies here appear to be more expansive and excitable, thanks to their positively charged Ascendants.
With an Aquarius Ascendant, LeAnn Rimes has an other-worldly appearance, suggesting someone floating in the clouds some distance from the Earth. This Rising Sign gives her a large cubical head, square cheekbones and chin, and (unlike most Virgos) a short and stubby nose. Note how the large eyelids pull sharply down on the outside, to seemingly focus her eyes on some distant point. Her Capricorn Moon accounts for the tenacious drive and emotional discipline that helped her establish her singing career.
Jane Curtain’s Sagittarius Ascendant certainly matches the fiery and scattered personae that she presents to the world. When the nick-picky qualities of her Sun penetrate the shield of this mask, her comedic qualities are even more hilarious. Furthermore, as we saw in Third Rock From The Sun, these unbridled energies are countered by the stubborn and inflexible emotional reactions of her Taurus Moon. With this Centaur Ascendant, Jane is given a sturdy jaw, a long neck and a set of horse-like eyes that appear to sweep up on each side, rather than at opposing angles.
With their Ascendants and Moons in passive signs, the male celebrities shown here often appear markedly restrained.
Sean Connery’s Earth is strongly enforced by his Capricorn Ascendant. He always appeared distinguished and proper and rarely displays Virgo’s propensity to fuss and worry-- even though he has a Virgo Moon. Note how this Ascendant sets the wide cheekbones high on the face. This rugged, stone-like mask accounts for his serious and stoic demeanor.
Like most Virgos, Dr. Phil McGraw is extremely analytical and critical, and with a Scorpio Ascendant, he also is obsessed with digging up hidden facts and exposing inner emotions. Along with this fixed water Ascendant, he has the emotional inflexibility of a Taurus Moon. More than anyone here, he is determined to keep everything in control.
All four celebrities, in their moments of self-expression, display the features demonstrated in our caricature. Watch the crystal spark in the eyes, how the hands point and count and how the brows, mouth and chin are skewed when the Mercury messenger arrives on the scene.
The Continuing Process and Other Current Cycles
Without help from others, Virgos can become obsessed with their work, and this brings a whole lot of worry, particularly when things aren’t working as planned. Relief from all this worry comes through Pisces, the sign on the other side of the Zodiac wheel. With Pisces help, Virgos can once again reaffirm their faith in the grand, orderly process of Mother Nature (as well as other divine sources). This inspires them to continue their service.
In the coming shift to the season of Fall, Virgo’s desire to “serve others” will be redirected by the cardinal forces of Libra. There, the Equinoctial light encourages a balance of power that will insure that all contributors will receive their fair and just rewards. With this equal sharing, we all can become co-creators in the making of a more beautiful world.
