Dance of the Seasonal Lights
Sun in AQUARIUS
January 20 to February 19, 2011

This is the Time to “Believe What You SEE”
In previous years, most of us have likely observed the cool blue/gray colors of this month’s midwinter skies. Once again, we can realize that the light is growing-- and getting brighter everyday!
In this expanding light, the Fixed Air forces of Aquarius encourage us to review our previous experiences and collect our thoughts together-- to trigger the sparks of imagination that will help us complete the New Year’s resolutions of Capricorn.

With their inherited sense of optimism, our Aquarius friends will likely encourage us all to express our hopes and wishes. It likely won’t change the minds of these “fixed air” creatures, but such communication may alter the consciousness of others. Our Water Bearer friends know that this “coming together of minds” can bring the revolutionary solutions, that will make this world a better place to live.

Oprah Winfrey, perhaps more than any person in our time, expresses this Aquarian desire to manifest such universally appealing goals. These highly mental and electrical qualities are also apparent in the personality of Jennifer Aniston. Interestingly, both of these ladies share a Moon in the mutable sign of Sagittarius. Both appear to be overly fiery and animated in their reactions. The enthusiasm is often uncontainable! With Sagittarius also rising, Oprah’s fiery spirit is rarely restricted or “masked”. Consequently, her Centaur emotions often scatter the fixed forces of her Sun. In contract, Jennifer gives us a calmer personae. Her Ascendant is Libra.
With Chris Rock, the static electricity and quirky energies are apparent, but the holding pattern of his Sun often appears aggressive and highly driven. His cardinal Aries Moon and Ascendant accounts for these qualities.
In contrast, Eljiah Wood appears to be the most fixed of this group. As we saw in his role in “Lord of the Rings”, his mind usually remains controlled and focused and his emotions rarely waver. His Moon is in the fixed water sign of Scorpio.

As we begin our second year “dancing in the seasonal lights”, these writings will sporadically attempt to look at the other “cycles of light” that are occurring at this moment of time. Since the Sun is in Aquarius, we will look at Uranus (Aquarius’ ruling planet). Soon, this planet will end its nearly 7 year placement in Pisces. In this period, we can safely say that this transit has altered our collective consciousness by electrically charging the passions and emotions of all individuals. This has divided people into groups with strong, opposing feelings. This conflict was apparent in the 2008 and 2010 elections in the United States.
These “radicalized emotions” will remain until March 12, the day when Uranus makes its final movement into Aries. This new placement may clarify and simplify the way we communicate with each other. Also, expect a surge of inventive ideas from individuals everywhere! Many of us should feel that “things are on the move again”.

In the month ahead, the solar lights will switch to feminine, mutable Pisces. This watery mix of primal feelings may help us integrate all of the elements into the electro-magnetic seeds what will soon manifest as new creations.
