Bob Dylan astrological portrait

In a recent Newsweek article, the interviewer noted— “As you sit across from him, his face keeps changing”.  This reporter surely must have known he was interviewing a Gemini.  If not, Dylan’s own comments should have given him additional clues:  “ I don’t think I'm tangible to myself.  I mean, I think one thing today and I think another thing tomorrow.  I change during the course of a day.  I wake and I'm one person, and when I go to sleep I know for certain I'm somebody else.  I donut know who I am most of the time.”
With his music, this Gemini continues to define changes for another generation— changing the way we think and the things we do.  Dylan has an ability to make vivid, verbal images.  His Mercury and Venus in Gemini also adds to this mental agility.  He seems to have an endless supply of details and concepts, and he uses them freely as he "plays with our minds".
Notably, Dylan's not only has a gift for words, he has an ability to make them real and substantive.   Dylan's  sixth house Sun makes a snug conjunction with his fifth house Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus.  These heavy Taurian energies bring Dylan's creative efforts down to earth, as they alter the nature of his personality.

Ascendant: Sagittarius

Gemini with Sagittarius rising?  Sure, there's the Sagittarius physical structure (the domed head, the long twisted face and the ball on the tip of the nose) but something's wrong!  Close-up, you can see the mutable face and darting eyes, but in certain moments, the air and fire seems incredibly stilled and grounded— almost Taurian in quality.

Dylan shows us clearly how "ruler placements" and "key aspects" alter the nature of the personality.  Jupiter (the ruler of Dylan's ascendant) is in late Taurus conjunct his early degree Gemini Sun.  This placement and conjunction greatly modifies Dylan's physical expresssions.  Bob often bounces on stage, displaying his mutable fire energies, but quickly the ruling Jupiter shifts him into fixed earth mode, as it alters his solar energies.  As his shoulders huddle over his guitar, he locks into his seemingly immovable stance.  Highly focused, he seems unaffected by outer forces.

Moon: Taurus

With a Moon also in Taurus, the focus becomes even more intense!  With Saturn conjunct this Moon, Dylan appears emotionally cool, reclusive and hard edged.  When he reacts to the outer world, he creates biting commentary on the ills of society.  This highly disciplined Moon is also trine Neptune and conjunct the Uranus/Jupiter/Sun stellium.  Dylan’s earthy emotions are intuitively and spiritually connected to his remarkably articulate Sun.  He creates and expresses a constantly changing stream of inventive images.  With a touch of saturnine grey, Dylan paints his Taurian images by building masterfully constructed phrases.  With the swiftness of Mercury, he delivers the tantalizing messages.  The impact is real and it continues to alter our collective consciousness and soul
